Memory Lane

Memory Lane

Anne pulled down the ladder that led to the attic of her home. She climbed it and pulled the cord that turned on the light. Wesley watched her shapely butt as it ascended the rungs of the ladder. Anne was quite a pretty woman. She was 25 years old, five foot three, perhaps 105 pounds, with an athletic body that she perfected with diet and many hours in the gym. She wore a navy crop top with short sleeves, skinny jeans with mild distressing, and blue flats. She was also wearing thick work gloves.

Wesley followed right behind her. He was also 25. He was five foot ten, 180 plus pounds, with not quite as athletic a body as Anne, but not fat or out of shape. He was wearing a red and white striped shirt, wrangler jeans, white socks, and sneakers.

"I really appreciate you helping me, Wesley. Getting all the ornaments down for Christmas is such a hassle."

"No problem."

"This shouldn't take long. I'll show you the things I want. Then we'll figure out how to get them down from here without killing ourselves."

All items were strewn in the attic and stored in their appropriate containers, mostly cardboard boxes and plastic storage bins of various sizes.

"Let's see, where is it?" Anne said out loud although she was talking to herself. She looked in various directions before moving her feet. Finally, spotting what she wanted; she took about three steps.

"Here they are."

Anne lifted a bin and handed it to Wesley. He took it and put it in a convenient spot. A moment later, she handed him another bin.

"You know, since you're here, I have some older stuff. Let me move a few boxes and find it."

"Sure."

"Help me move these things."

Boxes and bins were moved and then restacked in different orders.

"Oh my god, look at this!"

"What?"

"You're not going to believe this. When I was in high school. I used to fit into these clothes."

Wesley looked into the box. The size of the apparel looked very large for a person as svelte as Anne.

Wesley pulled out a Christman themed sweater out of the box.

"Hey don't make fun. I know it's ugly. Can I tell you something?" Anne didn't stop to hear a reply. "When I was a kid, I didn't have any sense of style. I was very insecure. It was a vicious cycle. I was insecure so I would eat a lot. That made me fatter, which made me more insecure. But through it all, I spent all my time smiling when I was around people. I thought that made me look better."

"You still smile."

"Yeah, but now I have a reason."

Wesley chuckled.

"Look at this sweater. Look at the size of it." Anne held the sweater up by the shoulders. The sleeves were much longer than the bodice. It was obviously a crop-top style. It was also made for a plus-size woman.

"Wow."

Anne put down the sweater and picked up a pair of dark nylon leggings with a pink floral pattern. "I used to wear that sweater with these leggings."

"Everything was big on me then. Look at the size of my panties and bra."

"The bra doesn't look too different."

"It was plain and white and at the time my boobs weren't firm. They were very fat."

Wesley didn't know what to say.

Anne continued. "I wouldn't be able to fit into anything I wore then now. I was big. I wonder if you could fit into it."

"I don't think so."

"Sure, you can. They would probably be big on you too."

"Big or not, they wouldn't fit. I'm also much taller than you."
